He is\n\npassionate about making the world work better for all people and uses an inclusive problem-\n\nsolving approach to make a difference.\n\nAs President of the Small Business Association of Michigan\, Brian is able to put his passion for\n\nMichigan's small businesses to work. He also serves as a Director of a publicly traded\n\ncommunity bank and sits on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Michigan\, Disability\n\nRights Michigan and the Autism Alliance of Michigan and as a Trustee of Oakland University.\n\nCalley had the honor of serving as Michigan?s 63rd Lieutenant Governor from 2011-2018.\n\nDuring that time\, he played an integral role in Michigan?s comeback in partnership with\n\nGovernor Rick Snyder. He is often referenced as redefining the role of Lt. Governor\, taking on\n\nissues that were critical and important to the success of our state. Calley was the driving force\n\nbehind two historic tax reforms that were the catalyst for significant private-sector job growth\n\nin Michigan. During his tenure\, more than 555\,000 jobs were created and Michigan saw the\n\nlowest unemployment rate in nearly two decades. As Michigan's lieutenant governor\, he also\n\nspearheaded regulatory reform\, infrastructure improvement and employee engagement\n\nefforts.
